Young Living Products for Runners

Woman Running

Running has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember.  From playing in the neighborhood to running cross country.  Running was fun for me.  Crazy thing, it still is fun but in a totally different way.  It is more therapeutic than competitive for me.

When I first started running there wasn’t a wide selection of apparel or products to use.  Sport bras were not as supportive as they are now.  It gives me cringe thinking about wearing double sports bras.  It was something I accepted that I would have to do.  When I wanted to know the distance of a particular route I would either have my mom drive in her car or when I was old enough to drive I would map it out.

Throughout the years I began to replace my old ways with new technology from apparel to watches to cleaner products that I apply topically as well as take internally.  I still remember my first Garmin.  It had a velcro strap!  Anyone else have this dinosaur of a watch?

The one item that stayed with me the longest was Icy Hot.  I lathered myself in this yucky stuff.  Fast forward twenty some years, I have swapped this product out for Young Living’s Cool Azul Sports Gel.

Cool Azul Sports Gel I will be honest, I was really skeptical of this product at first.  I was excited but also didn’t want to be let down since I haven’t been let down by a Young Living product yet.  Icy Hot got me through some grueling half marathons and triathlons but, there were ingredients that I didn’t want to be applying on my body anymore.  The biggest adjustment I had to make was how fast it would come out of the tube.  Depending how my muscles are feeling I may add some PanAway or Peppermint Essential Oil on top of the Cool Azul Sports Get.  Does it work?  Yes!  I have had knee and back surgery and I don’t ever see myself needing Icy Hot ever again.  It provides enough tingling sensation without being to much.

After a grueling workout I reach for Cool Azul Pain Relief Cream.  I apply it to my muscles to provide them with some much needed relief.

Back in the day when I had plenty of energy I didn’t have to think about energy supplements.  Now, it’s one of the first things I reach for if I know I am going out for a long run or I need a little extra pick me up.   NingXia Nitro has become one of my must have items. Since it is a infusion of essential oils, Korean Gingseng, and Green Tea extract you don’t have to worry about if you take more than one at a time.  NingXia Nitro has been know to enhance physical performance and endurance.

Before every run I apply Kidscents Tender Tush to skin areas that need protection.  I then reach for Fitness inspired by Oola and apply it to my wrists.  This essential oil blend was specifically formulated to uplift, energize, and give you the inspiration to set and achieve your strength and fitness goals.  During my workout I sniff my writs to remind me why I am doing what I am doing.  Believe me, it’s helped get me through my long runs.

While I am applying Kidscents Tender Tush and Fitness inspired by Oola I am drinking Aminowise.  It is triple targeted with branched chain amino acids for muscle building and repair, polyphenol and antioxidants for recovery.  No matter if you are running like me, or doing some other form of activity this is so important to incorporate into your fitness routine.  You break your muscles down while you are working out to help them get bigger.  You NEED to help them repair with proper supplements, and Aminowise is a great one to have on hand.

Young Living's AgileaseAs I get older, my body ever so kindly reminds me that I have had knee and back surgery along.   Agilease is my go to supplement to support healthy joints.  I take it when my joints start to bother me.  I notice a difference shortly after taking this supplement.  It’s been a nice addition to my routine when needed.

Young Living's Master FormulaOne thing about supplements, you don’t have to be an athlete to take them.  If you are, it becomes even more important to take them.  Remember when you are taking supplements you don’t want to take all of them at one time.  It can be harsh on your stomach.  You want your body to absorb the vitamins which is why you want to space your supplements throughout the day.

If I had to pick just one supplement to take, it would be a good multi-vitamin.  For me, I take Master-Formula.  It’s Young Living’s multi-vitamin.  It contains minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.  Make sure you take it with food.

If you are taking the step to keep your body fit, make sure you are following it up by taking care of yourself. Self care is so important to any fitness routine.

Before your next run, remember to take NingXia Nitro and enjoy the added boost of endurance.  I am sure your next PR is around the corner.

I always drink Amino Acids during a work out–I may have to try AminoWise. I had no idea Young Living made supplements!

I don’t run (mainly just lifting), but that pain relief cream sounds like it’d be pretty awesome after a workout! *-*

Aaaahh, Icy Hot. I definitely remember those days. I honestly still turn to it every now and then (because I still have some at home) but this post is such a good reminder that there are other cleaner, safer (!) products out that there truly work. So thanks for that, Amy.

Oh Anushka I am so happy you connected the dots. Do yourself a favor and toss out that icky Icy Hot. I shared a DIY muscle rub that you can make at home. You’ll have to let me know if you make it.

Yes, this is so much better for you. You can even create a DIY muscle rub that will be so much better for you than rubbing those harmful toxins on your body. I can’t wait for you to experience a cleaner version.

I love how you incorporated all these products into this post, thanks Amy! I am totally going to see about trying Cool Azul Pain Relief Cream. And applying certain oils during or after a workout, genius! I always enjoy it at my yoga studio but never ask what it is to try it haha. Now I’m going to!

Thanks, Ariana! Believe me, you are not alone. So many people are curious about Essential Oils but never ask the simple question why or what to try. I can’t wait to hear how your oily journey goes.
