When I think of Valentine’s Day I think of of an empty shoebox that I decorated to bring to school to collect all my Valentine’s from fellow classmates. Boy those were the days. Everything was simple and sweet. I try my best to keep it pretty simple minus the shoebox.
Of course I bought my husband a special Valentine’s Day Card. I love buying him cards. I think cards are a perfect and simple way to share my thoughts with him. I am fortunate we tell and show each other how much we love each other everyday. This year I put his card in a zip lock bag with a cotton ball with a drop of orange essential oil to leave an uplifting aroma on the card. This is perfect to do with any card. Think Birthday, Christmas, and so on. I have no idea why I didn’t start doing this before. Be on the look out for lots of happy mail 🙂
We traditionally don’t exchange gifts on Valentine’s Day. We shower each other with random gifts throughout the year. This year I wanted to create him something special that is close to both of our hearts. We both have our own roller bottles filled with essential oils that we use on a daily basis to help support of respiratory and immune systems. I wanted to create him a special blend for him that smells amazing. I grabbed a 10ml bottle and added 13 drops Idaho Balsam Fir, 10 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce, 8 drops Idaho Blue Spruce, and 5 drops Bergamot essential oil. I topped it off with fractionated coconut oil. Love how this smells!

It’s no secret that I am passionate about health and wellness. I workout to stay in shape and prevent injuries. I use essential oils to help support my health. I used to treat my health when I was sick, which is a little backwards thinking since I am in the health industry. It makes absolute sense that I support my health that way I stay as healthy as possible. Working out is one step in living a healthy life. Eating clean is another step. Removing toxins and chemicals completes the circle. I’m in love with the healthy lifestyle I have created.
